First some news…
 
Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency for Branch, Cass, and St. Joseph counties to aid recovery efforts following a deadly tornado outbreak this past Friday. The state is providing resources and support to affected communities.
 
Antrim County’s new public safety center project is now estimated to cost over $37 million, exceeding the $27 million budget by approximately $10 million.
 
University of Michigan research highlights noise pollution as a significant factor in the rapid decline of bird populations globally.
 
Ticket sales for the 2026 Warblers on the Water events, May 22-25, will begin this week in March. The festival will feature new field trips to celebrate Great Lakes Islands biodiversity.

America 250 Writing Challenge seeks submissions on America 250, with selected works compiled into a book. Visit the library for more details.
