At 4 on Saturday it’s The Kid. It’s the story of Billy the Kid through the eyes of a kid who witnesses some of his confrontations. It’s rated R, so not for the kids. At 7, the feature film for the week is Captain Marvel. It’s not just another super hero movie—because this time the hero is a her. Lots of action, lots of fun. It’s rated PG-13. Concession stand will be open with Nathan’s hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, sweets, soda and other drinks. Also Saturday evening, there’s a Contra Dance at the Episcopal Mission at 7. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before or you don’t have a partner to dance. It’s easy and friendly, so come on out and have some fun with island friends. And, also on Saturday, the Forest View Luxury Vacation Early Bird drawing is at 7 at Stoney. Money raised goes to support needs at our island senior housing facility, which is an important island resource. If you’re going to buy a ticket to support Forest View, you might as well do it now and get two chances to win something.
