Community Calendar Report for Wednesday, September 24th, 2025. |
First, some news… Summary of a report from 9 and 10 news for you: The Michigan Supreme Court will review challenges to the approval of the Line 5 tunnel project, with environmental groups and tribal nations claiming the state’s review was inadequate and failed to consider public or environmental risks. The Michigan Public Service Commission had approved the project as the safest alternative, a decision previously upheld by the Court of Appeals. Enbridge supports the project and says it follows all laws, while federal officials also back Enbridge against the state’s efforts to shut down the pipeline. A Supreme Court ruling is estimated in early 2026.
