Jackson discovered the “cross of snow” on a Colorado mountain peak. The cross was formed by intersecting ravines that sheltered snow, creating a temporary cross shape.

Our Merriam Webster Word of the Day is the adjective Expeditious is a formal word that is used to describe someone acting in a quick and efficient way, or something done in such a manner.

// Both sides hoped for an expeditious resolution of the dispute.

Now, to wrap up for this Beaver Island Monday…

Here’s a thought for the day from the photographer Henry William Jackson – “In living, as in art, rules are drawn from practice; not the other way around.”

On a lighter note…
Yesterday someone was waving and I couldn’t tell if it was at me or someone behind me. In other news, I no longer have my lifeguard job.
