Last week, a judge overturned the approval of an 810-acre solar farm project in Cheboygan County, Michigan, after a lawsuit filed by 19 residents. The residents argued that the county planning commission failed to address specific zoning ordinance sections when approving the project. The judge ruled that the commission must review these sections, effectively vacating the special use permit and maintaining a temporary moratorium on large-scale solar energy projects.
