First some news -summary from Petoskey News-Review The race for the Michigan House and the 1st Congressional District is heating up. Republican Jack Bergman is facing challengers Josh Saul and JD Wilson in the August primary for the 1st Congressional District, which spans the Upper Peninsula and 20 Northern Michigan counties On the Democratic side, Callie Barr and Bob Lorinser are vying for the seat. In the 107th House District, Republican Neil Friske is seeking reelection against Parker Fairbairn, while Jodi Decker represents the Democrats. The 105th District sees Ken Borton defending his seat against Christian Marcus in the Republican primary, with James Wojey waiting in the wings for the November general election. Lastly, David Prestin is running unopposed in the Republican primary for the 108th District, with Christiana Reynolds challenging him as a Democrat come November 5th Mark your calendars for the primary election on Tuesday, August 6, and the general election on Tuesday, November 5.
