NAME OF DAY: Today’s BIC Center name of the day is

BIRTHDAYS:, and if we missed on the list, Happy Birthday to you too from all of us at W-V-B-I and your Beaver Island Community Center.

TRAFFIC: No delays inbound or outbound to the airports. Island beltway is running smoothly. No bridge delays. But, let’s be careful out there.

On this day  On May 14th, 1948, Israel was declared an independent state by David Ben-Gurion, who became its first Prime Minister. This event is significant as it marked the establishment of a Jewish state in the Middle East after centuries of diaspora. This day is celebrated annually in Israel as Independence Day, or Yom Ha’atzmaut. This event was a pivotal moment in history, marking the culmination of years of Zionist efforts and the beginning of a new chapter for the Jewish people. It also set the stage for ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as neighboring Arab states rejected the partition of Palestine and the establishment of Israel.

The word of the day for May 14th is “Ebullient”.

Definition

“Ebullient” is an adjective that describes someone who is cheerful and full of energy. It can also refer to a situation or event that is bubbling with enthusiasm, excitement, or liveliness.

Usage

Here is an example in a sentence

“The ebullient child couldn’t wait to open his birthday presents.”

Now, to wrap up for this Beaver Island Tuesday

Here’s a thought for the day

“Every step you take towards your goal may seem small, but remember, even the greatest journeys begin with a single step. Keep moving forward, your dreams are closer than you think.”

On a lighter note, Why do we tell actors to break a leg?  Because every play has a cast.

That’s the W-V-B-I Community Calendar for this Beaver Island Tuesday, May 14th, 2024. I’m Greg Doig reporting from W-V-B-I’s Langford Family Studios wishing you a great day and asking you: why not go ahead and make it the best day ever? And thanks for listening.
