First, some news…
For those who are fans of the antique road show here’s something from the Petoskey News Review website.
You can mark your calendars for July 1st because the Antiques Roadshow is rolling into Charlevoix
That’s right – those amazing experts who can tell you if grandma’s old vase is worth a fortune are setting up shop at Castle Farms.
The best part? It’s totally free to attend and get your items appraised!
For all the details about when and where, just visit pbs.org/antiques. Don’t miss out on this
exciting chance to be part of television history!
Good news for local robotics fans! Our very own BICS’s Team BIRobot is crossing the border this weekend, heading to their first competition of 2025. The team is traveling to Niagara College in Welland, Ontario – marking their first-ever venture outside Michigan’s robotics district.
Here’s something different this year – the competition schedule has changed. Unlike previous years when events typically ran Fridays and Saturdays, this competition runs Saturday and Sunday. The team will set up their pit area Friday evening, compete throughout the weekend, and make their journey back home on Monday.
Want to learn more about Team #6098 or show your support? Visit their website at birobot.org where you can become a sponsor or pick up some team gear. And if you’d like to cheer them on from home, you can follow their competition progress and watch livestreams through TheBlueAlliance.com.
We wish our Beaver Island robotics team the best of luck as they represent our community across the border!

// The editorial criticizes the draconian measures being taken by city hall to rein in spending.

Now, to wrap up for this Beaver Island Tuesday…

Here’s a thought for the day – If you find yourself dwelling on limitations or losses, well, today you can choose to appreciate the capabilities you possess.

On a lighter note Have you ever wondered, Where do rainbows go? I heard some go to prism, but it’s a light sentence, and it gives them time to reflect.
