Contact N-H-S president Alyssa Martin for more details. You can reach her through the front desk at school.]

TRAFFIC: None. But the roads are super slick after the snow and glaze of icing yesterday. So, let’s be careful out there. Especially in the school zone.

On this day in 461 On March 17, 461 A.D., Saint Patrick, Christian missionary, bishop and apostle of Ireland, dies at (SAWL-dah-Nee-TRAK) Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland. Today he is honored with the annual holiday of St. Patrick’s Day.

Our Merriam Webster Word of the Day –

Rife Rife usually describes things that are very common and often—though not always—bad or unpleasant. Rife is also commonly used in the phrase “rife with” to mean “copiously supplied” or “having a large amount of; full of.” Unlike most adjectives, rife is not used before a noun.

// Speculation about who would be sent to the new office had been rife for weeks.

Now, to wrap up for this Beaver Island St. Patrick’s Day Monday

Here’s a thought for the day – May your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.

On a lighter note, when I am driving on the mainland I glue a coffee cup to the roof of my car, yep, that way everyone still waves at me.

That’s the W-V-B-I Community Calendar for this Beaver Island Monday, March 17th, 2025. I’m Greg Doig reporting from W-V-B-I’s Langford Family Studios wishing you a great day and asking you: why not go ahead and make it the best day ever? And thanks for listening.
