Reminder from BIESA About Self-Quarantine for New Arrivals

If it were not already clear, everyone traveling to the Island . . . new arrivals, seasonal residents, full-time residents returning to the Island should self-quarantine for 14 days. Please note, however, the townships do not have the authority to prohibit traffic to/from the Island; nor do the townships have the authority to enforce a quarantine.

It is up to individuals and families to keep each other safe and follow the Governor’s Directive to Stay Home. The best thing you can do is practice social distancing, personal hygiene and monitor your temperature daily. This link at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has great information about How to Protect Yourself:

Arrivals to Beaver Island should self-quarantine for 14 days.
