Spring Break Fun Camp for Kids

There is a post on the forum that states the first boat will run early. The tentative date and time is April 6th at 8:20a.m.


Please join us at the Beaver Island Community Center on Thursday, April 28th from 3-5:30 p.m. for an Open House with the Office of Great Lakes, Maine’s Island Institute, and Maine islanders. Meeting Objectives: 1) Information sharing-to summarize the major project activities to date, including progress towards advancing the Beaver Island priority issue areas and longer term coordination opportunities; and 2) Engagement-to seek support, interest, and involvement by Beaver Islanders and others to assist with project components going forward.

Among the great birding opportunities this Spring, is the 2016 Warblers on the Water event, celebrating Beaver Island’s unique location and its spectacular birding over the Memorial Day weekend, May 28-29. Guided field trips, demonstrations and presentations will be scheduled on the island, showcasing the Beaver Island Birding Trail. Visit the Beaver Island Birding Trail website to register.

Part-time position (+/- 30 hours a week) available at the Beaver Island Waste Transfer Station.  In making its decision, the Committee will consider the applicant’s relevant work experience and mechanical aptitude.
