Rep. Cole recently spoke about House passage Tuesday of his HB 5582, that amends state law by adding “morel mushrooms” to the limited list of items that are exempt from required food safety training. Michigan residents were able to forage for morels and sell them to local businesses and restaurants in Michigan until 2015 when the state adopted a law to require mandatory certification training to sell morels.

On this date of June 1, 1954 – In the Peanuts comic strip, Linus’ security blanket made its debut.
Did you know that a flea can jump 350 times its body length?
Word of the day: tickety-boo (TIK-i-tee-BOO) which means fine; ok. Tckety-boo is of uncertain origin, but it may be an expressive alteration of the phrase that’s the ticket. It entered English in the 1930s. (Have to admit that I’ve never heard this word before).
Still no delays to report.
Hey, Let’s be careful out there. Especially in the school zone.
To Lucas and all our listeners, Charles Edwards once wrote, “the heart of all problems, whether economic, political, or social, is a human heart.”
