later this morning and persist through the afternoon.

Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected

today with some localized higher amounts possible.

Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce after Hours Dalwhinnies 5-7 p.m.

It’s been several months since our last business after hours gathering, so we are getting together for an update and to have time to talk about plans for the upcoming summer season. We’ll talk about plans for the Irish Festival, our Discover Beaver Island promotion and more.

So we invite current and potential Chamber members to join us

The Beaver Island Rural Health Center and Beaver Island EMS present a Free CPR Training course for members of the community. Just call 231-448-2275 to reserve your space and materials.

The Beaver Island Community Players are working on a show for spring.  All interested actors and actresses (or wanna bees) stop by the BIDL (library) and pick up a script to look at. Auditions soon. Need 6 players (2 M, 4 F). Production set for end of April!

 

ST JAMES TOWNSHIP BOARD TRUSTEE VACANCY POSTING

St James Township is seeking applications for the position of Township Trustee. The vacancy will be appointed for the remainder of the current term (through November 2020). To be eligible to apply, you must have resided in St James Township for at least 30 days, be 18 years of age or older, a US citizen, and be registered to vote.Applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Any interested applicants must submit a letter of interest explaining how they can carry out the responsibilities and how their individual skills will benefit the township.
