Charlevoix County Veteran’s Affairs Office director John Hess visits the island the second Tuesday of each month to provide assistance to Beaver Island veterans in dealing with the VA and other issues. You can stop by the BIRHC 11-2 to see him or give him a call at 231-547-7220

BICC Pickleball 10 a.m.
Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program 10:00 a.m.

Noon- BITA’s regularly scheduled board meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month. BITA is responsible for management of the ferry system that connects the island to the mainland. Transportation Building

It’s the opener of the 2018 BINGO season. The caller will be Jerry LaFreniere. Games will be held at the Gregg Fellowship Center. Doors will open at 6.15 p.m. Games will start at 7 p.m. The 2017 balance in the Powerball game is carried forward to this year.

Common Household Wastes include: Drain/Metal Cleaners, grease solvents, antifreeze, brake fluid, rust solvents, paint thinners/strippers, kerosene, adhesives, fertilizers, aerosols, and wood preservatives. All latex paints $1 a can regardless of size. Any questions call 231-448-2228

Remember that the Pantry can always donations. For your convenience, there are collection baskets at the Beaver Island Christian Church, Beaver Island Community Center, Beaver Island Rural Health Center, Fresh Air, Holy Cross Church and Island Airways.
