Interviews will proceed with representatives on both sides of the township consolidation issue. We’ll let you know as soon as we can when they will be broadcast. If you miss them on the air you’ll still be able to hear them as podcasts.

If you have questions you’d like presented to representatives from either or both sides of the Township consolidation vote, please send them to consolidation questions at w-v-b-I dot net. Or you can drop them in the mail addressed to Consolidation Questions, PABI [PABBY], P-O Box 494, Beaver Island, Michigan 4-9-7-8-2. Or just drop them by the BIC Center during regular opening hours in an envelope marked Consolidation Questions.

At our website, we’ve tried to include everything, but if we’ve missed your event you can easily add it yourself by using the handy “Post Your Event” button in the upper right of the calendar or by sending an email with the details to calendar@wvbi.net<mailto:calendar@wvbi.net>. And, we can make it easy for your events to show up in a nice calendar on your website, too, so you only have to post them once. Your website can show only your events or those plus other categories from the calendar that you choose.

To help coordinate the events we’ve taken the major events for Summer 2018 and compiled them into a nifty little Celebrate Summer 2018 online calendar. Just point your browser at summer.wvbi.net to get the lowdown on everything planned so far for next summer. Then check back from time to time as more events will be added as dates are firmed up.

Hey, let’s be careful out there. Especially in the school zone.

To Lucas, Sophia and all our listeners, if you’re looking for magic, it is often found in books. Reading leads to great discoveries too.

On a lighter note, how does a wizard keep his potions safe? With a warlock!!!
It’s Friday and time for StoryCorps… this time, we’ll hear from two brothers …

Russell Wadsworth is 28. Remmick is 27… And they both have autism.

As kids, they had trouble with social interactions…but they often relied on each other to get through…

…Including now, as they navigate the working world.

Here, Remmick talks about their first job working together at a coffee shop…

Audio:

That was Russell Wadsworth, speaking with his younger brother, Remmick, in Temple Terrace, Florida. Do you have a story to tell? Let us know about it by sending an email to programming at w-v-b-I dot net.

That’s the WVBI Community Calendar for Friday April 13th, 2018.
