First some news…
Governor Whitmer’s final State of the State address highlighted Michigan’s accomplishments in housing, and healthcare. Her 2026 priorities include improving literacy, increasing housing availability, and capping medical debt interest rates.
Ticket sales for the 2026 Warblers on the Water events, May 22-25, will begin this week in March. The festival will feature new field trips to celebrate Great Lakes Islands biodiversity.
America 250 Writing Challenge seeks submissions on America 250, with selected works compiled into a book. Visit the library for more details.
Ben Traverse and Nick Veine will perform at the BIC Center on March 12th at 6:30 p.m. to kick off Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. Tickets are $20, with free admission for kids 17 and under. Tickets.biccenter.org
