The latest data release by Michigan health officials shows 3,730 new cases reported and 15 new deaths. That’s driving the seven day rolling average to 2,339 for new cases for yet another in a long string of day over day increases. Meantime, the number of active cases continues to climb statewide and in our region with almost 45,000 cases statewide and now over 1,000 in the eight county region we’ve been following. There were 56 news cases reported in our region along with one death. Five of the new cases were in Charlevoix. The death was in Otsego.
