WVBI COVID-19 Update for February 21, 2022

On COVID-19 front, the Health Center is reporting two tests back as negative. None outstanding. Their tally now has no positive tests in the last two weeks.

The state’s report released Friday continued to show good trends with an average of 1,914 new cases and 31 new deaths a day. That pushes the seven-day averages to 1,925 a day for new cases and 69 for deaths including reclassifications. In our region there were 109 total new cases over the two days covered by the report and one death. Three of the new cases were in Charlevoix. The single death was in Grand Traverse. Hospital utilization rates continue to be high for COVID-19, but the overall rates are near normal. No patients at Munson in Charlevoix. 16 at McLaren in Petoskey, but none in the I-C-U.
