WVBI COVID-19 Report for January 24, 2022

The Health Center has no additional results in their report as of this morning. No tests reported pending. There are now 28 active cases.

Friday’s state report showed a slight downtick in new cases statewide with 16,776 new cases a day over the two days covered by the report. The rate for new deaths was essentially steady at 105 a day including about 40 reclassifications a day. Seven-day averages are at 17,080 new cases and 102 deaths. In our region there were 612 total new cases and three deaths. 43 of the new cases were in Charlevoix. The deaths were in Grand Traverse with two and Otsego with one. Hospital occupancy continues to run high overall and extremely high for COVID-19. No change at our local hospitals.
