Fr. Jim Siler and the congregation of Holy Cross Catholic Church invite you to join them for Mass on Sunday mornings at 9:30. A Vigil Mass is celebrated Saturday afternoons at 4. Mass is also celbrated Tuesday through Friday morning at 9 with a Rosary following Mass on Tuesdays and Eucharistic Adoration following Mass on Fridays.
We have an informal time together with songs, praise and looking to the Bible for instruction and encouragement. Light refreshments are served following the worship service for a time of getting aquainted and fellowship.

Along with sharing this 4,000 yr. old practice, your generous donations for this summer YOGA program have made an impact on supporting the BI Community Center for everyone’s enjoyment. An opportunity where everyone benefits!
No experience needed for any class, just a willingness to be playful and try the postures. Modifications are always offered. If you are saying to yourself, “I can’t do yoga, I am not flexible”, only your mind needs to be flexible. We can all do yoga; yoga is for every body!
If you are an active practitioner you can play with your own variations.
As with any physical exercise, you should consult your medical physician if you have any questions.

Start your week or your weekend off with a nice, easy yoga flow to energize you for your time on the Island. We will slowly flow (Vinyasa) from one posture to another. Posture alignment will be explained giving students a greater opportunity to feel comfortable in attending this and other yoga classes, and more importantly to keep you safe. This class will help energize your whole body.
A great opportunity for any skill level to learn more about the postures & alignment.
* Please arrive 10 minutes early on your first visit
* Mats, Blocks & Hand Towels available
* No perfumes or scents
* Suggested not to eat or drink ONE hour prior to class (maybe a small coffee)

All poses are modified for therapeutic classes.
Learn to protect and strengthen the joints of the body to experience renewed movement with ease and joy.
Suggestions will be made and poses implemented with the support of props and chairs to accommodate dysfunctional joints due to injury, aging issues, etc.
Explore holding poses as we gradually apply load to the joints to increase strength and balance. Care will be taken to balance both strength and relaxation to develop a functional and happy body.
The therapeutic Yoga class also focuses on the ability to recruit the core muscles for balance; the alignment of the joints, the posture and most importantly, the spine; and on the breath, working towards healing the body from the inside.
Participants should consult their physician for approval to participate.
* Be able to stand up for short periods of time (a chair will be available for support).
* Modification of all poses will be used. Moving to the mat for some poses is optional.
* All yoga poses can be done in a chair or using the wall.
* Although Yoga has a strong philosophy component, we will ONLY be focusing on the physical poses.
* Yoga Mats and props are supplied.

A cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong, Pickleball is a fun and exciting game for all ages! Played with with 2 or 4 people, Pickleball works with hand-eye coordination skills, shot placement and strategy versus brute power, or strength. Come learn how to lob, slam, drive and volley! During the summer, we play outdoors on the Municipal Tennis Courts. We will return to the BIC Center McDonough’s Market Theater this fall.
