BICS will host the NLL Soccer Tournament this weekend
It has been 6 years since we have hosted the tournament and we are excited to welcome the Big Bay De Noc Black Bears, Grand Marais Polar Bears, Hannahville Soaring Eagles, Mackinac Island Lakers, and Munising Baptist Bobcats.
The schedule is as follows:
Game 1 8:45 – 10:00 Big Bay (3) vs. Hannahville (5)
Game 2 10:15-11:30 Munising Baptist (4) vs. Grand Marais (6)
11:30 Break
Game 3 12:00-1:15 Mackinac Island (1) vs. winner of Game 1

The Booster Club will be offering breakfast and lunch concessions.

October 15th COA Dinner BICC
Join us for at the COA Sunday Dinner October 15, 11am-12:30opm for feasting, fellowship and fun–and of course, chocolate and other goodies! Featuring a menu of Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Veggie and Fruit Dessert. Plus, a special opportunity to meet Amy Wieland, the new Executive Director, and Sheri Shepard, the new Asst. Director

On Sunday, October 15th at 11:30 am, Father Jim Siler will be blessing island pets. This will take place on the Convent/Rectory lawn facing the harbor and the beach. This is an annual event on or near St. Francis of Assisi’s feast day

Worship Services on Island

Remember that the Pantry can always donations. For your convenience, there are collection baskets at the Beaver Island Christian Church, Beaver Island Community Center, Beaver Island Rural Health Center, Fresh Air, Holy Cross Church and Island Airways.

We can accept unopened, unexpired non-perishable food items. Cash donations are tax-deductible and are always appreciated as well. Checks can be made payable to the Beaver Island Christian Church, PO Box 21, Beaver Island, 49782. Please write Food Pantry on the memo line. Resale Store – It has been 10 years since we opened at the Donegal Bay Road location. We have been delighted with the support from our Island community. The volunteers, donors, and shoppers have made the shop a huge success. We invite you to stop in this week during our regular hours of operation for a piece of cake or a cookie. See you on Thurs., Fri., and Sat. from noon until 4:00.

Missing Pet
Brad G – Che, the orange and white cat was seen near the Fox Lake road. I put out a live trap. If anyone sees the little guy give us a call at 2314. A happy ending would be great!
