WORD OF THE DAY: logomachy (loh-GOM-uh-kee) which means 1) a dispute about or concerning words. 2) an argument or debate marked by the reckless or incorrect use of words; meaningless battle of words. English logomachy comes straight from the Greek noun logomachía “battle of words.” The Greek noun is very rare and also very late, first used in the First Epistle to Timothy, traditionally attributed to St. Paul (c5-67 a.d.). Logomachy entered English at the end of the 16th century.

Donegal Bay Road work continues, watch for detours and workers… Still no delays to report on Beaver Island.

Hey, let’s be careful out there. Especially in the school zone.

To Lucas, Sophia and all our listeners, using all that you’ve learned and applying it to the best of your ability makes common sense. If needed and available, seek help. That’s good sense.

On a lighter note, if you are afraid of Santa it is because you are Claus-trophobic!!!

That’s the WVBI Community Calendar for Tuesday December 5th, 2017.

I’m Greg Doig at WVBI‚ the Voice of Beaver Island. Make today the best day ever, and thank you for listening!
