At our website, we’ve tried to include everything, but if we’ve missed your event you can easily add it yourself by using the handy “Post Your Event” button in the upper right of the calendar or by sending an email with the details to firstname.lastname@example.org. And, we can make it easy for your events to show up in a nice calendar on your website, too, so you only have to post them once. Your website can show only your events or those plus other categories from the calendar that you choose.
Next time you are shopping at McDonough’s Market, buy an extra can (or two or three!) of food and put it in the Food Pantry collection box near the entrance. The Food Pantry helps Islanders in need and we can always use items like canned fruit and vegetables, soups, tuna, canned chicken, canned beans. Boxed mac and cheese, boxed potatoes, ramen and canned spaghetti and ravioli are also great.
Thanks to McDonough’s Market for all their help. And thank you!

Hey, let’s be careful out there. Especially in the school zone.
To Lucas and all our listeners, to paraphrase a few sages, we become what we believe. So, believe in the best for yourself.
On a lighter note, Whatdo you do if you get eaten by an elephant? Run around in circles until you are all pooped out.
That’s the WVBI Community Calendar for Friday August 11th, 2017.
I’m Greg Doig at WVBI‚ the Voice of Beaver Island. Have a great day, and thank you for listening!
