Registrations are now Open for a Free Creating Confident Caregivers® Workshop in Charlevoix.
Creating Confident Caregivers® (CCC) is a free 6-session program for family caregivers of persons with dementia and/or memory loss. This university developed program is led by trained facilitators who provide participants with information and skill-building activities to increase their effectiveness as caregivers. To date, over 4,000 caregivers nationwide have benefited from the class.
Creating Confident Caregivers® provides caregivers with tools and techniques to reduce their stress and improve the care they provide to their family member. This program is provided by The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan (AAANM) and the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging at no charge. Respite care may be available at no cost if needed to attend the six 2-hour sessions. Class size is limited to eligible caregivers. Pre-registration is required.
The FREE workshop begins Wednesday, April 18th from 2:00-4:00 pm and continues for 6 consecutive Wednesdays, ending May 23, 2018. The workshop will be held at the Charlevoix Senior Center, located at 06909 Norwood Street in Charlevoix.

All people interested in quilting, sewing, knitting, weaving, spinning, crocheting, or other needlework projects are encouraged to meet at the Peaine Township Hall on Wednesdays from 9:30 until 11:30. Our first District Event for the 2018 Season is at Grand Valley State University.
We have tentatively selected the Sleep Inn in Allendale as our base hotel. Rooms will fill up quickly there, so if you’d like to travel with the team best to book sooner than later.

Starting this Saturday, Jan. 6th, the Lego Club will meet every Saturday at 1 p.m. Themes will be posted for each Saturday. All are invited to participate…kids, teens, adults.

Deacon Jim Siler and the parishioners of Holy Cross Catholic Church welcome you to join them for Sunday masses and other activities throughout the year. Mass is celebrated Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and, during the summer, Fridays at 5:00 p.m. You are also invited to join us for Weekday Communion Service and Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and Traveling Rosary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Please feel welcome to visit our Prayer Garden overlooking Paradise Bay. You may also join us for Mass during the summer months at 5:00 p.m. Saturday evenings.
We have an informal time together with songs, praise and looking at a portion of the Bible for instruction and encouragement. Light refreshments are served following the worship service for a time of getting acquainted and fellowship.
Beaver Island Christian Church is a multi-denominational church established in 1963. We invite you to join us for Sunday services and children’s worship. All are welcome, and please join us afterwards for coffee, cookies and fellowship. Our services are led by a variety of visiting pastors.
